Koodam (கூடம்) is the hall at the heart of a Tamil home, where the family gathers, festivals are celebrated and stories are told. Thamizh Koodam aims to be that hall online: one place where Tamil families can play traditional games, learn about Tamil culture, read festival guides, explore devotion and use simple Tamil tools.

How we write
Our guides are written to be warm, clear and family-friendly. We stick to well-established facts, present legends as legends, and note where families and regions follow different customs. Traditions vary from home to home, and no single page can capture them all. If you see something we could explain better, we would be glad to hear from you.
